PUBLIC MEETING
Dave Blair from Karmas Lee & Jackson Engineer, and Ralph Friebel from Jamestown will be in Harvey on Monday evening, April 25th at 7:00 pm to present a project that the area could develop. The project is Frontier Dairy Management. The project would have 10,000 milking cows; the project would cover a 3 acre area. It would produce 800,000 pounds of milk per day. This would be a great impact to the surroundings area.
The cows will never be outside and the by products of the cows will be used to sell for electrical and thermal energy through an anaerobic digester. In other words the cows waste will not be smelly.
The capital needed for the farm is a total of $80 million. The company will employ approximately 100 full-time workers. The project is looking for land to develop.
The company will focus on dairy farming and the generation of electrical and thermal energy.
Anyone wanting to hear about the project please attend the Meeting on April 25 at 7:00pm in the City Armory. For more information call Nicki Weissman at the city office – 701-324-2490.
