Recreational opportunities are abundant in Harvey. It has one of the finest softball/baseball complexes in the state. Babe Ruth, American Legion, Teeball, and adult leagues are held each year in the northeast corner of town.
There are five local parks for your enjoyment, offering everything from picnic and camping facilities to a variety of playground equipment.
North Side Park is in the southeast corner of Veteran's Memorial Park on the northeast corner of town and features a playground and benches.
West Side Camper Park has 12 camper/RV pads with water, electricity, bathroom and shower facilities, sanitary disposal dump stations, picnic tables, and playground equipment.
Pioneer Park, on the west side of town, encompasses an outdoor swimming pool, picnic shelters, playground equipment
softball diamond, sandboxes, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, lighted basketball court, volleyball court, and a nine-hole miniature golf course.
Schroeder Memorial Park is on the south edge of town along the beautiful Sheyenne River. Its amenities include a safe beach area for public swimming (no lifeguard is on duty), water-skiing and boat launching facilities, boating, fishing, and picnic shelters.
Soo Line Park is just north of downtown Harvey. An old time locomotive is the centerpiece of this park, which offers picnic tables, park benches, and expanses of soft grass for summertime frolicking.
A beautiful nine-hole, grass greens golf course is just one mile north and one mile east of town. Tuesday is Ladies Day and Thursday evening is Men's Stag Night. Golf tournaments are held throughout the season. The clubhouse has a combined seating of 200 and is available to rent for social gatherings.
In addition, Harvey has an eight lane bowling alley offering active men's, women's, couples', and coffee leagues. The city boasts an ice skating rink (also used for hockey), a health and racquetball club, an outdoor shooting range, and a movie theater.
